Went in to buy a couple of steaks for a special occasion for the first time from here after numerous recommendations from friends. I have to say with hand on heart, it was the most flavoursome steak I’ve ever had in my life. Each bite was like the very first with an element of surprise that a steak in fact can and should taste like this. A very big shout out to the staff particularly Joel who even helped me pick out a bottle of red to go along with my meal. Warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. I’d never go anywhere else when buying steak again!

I would've said one thing, and one thing alone, which would have been delicious. But then again i thought people need to know this: when you plan on spending a weekend indoors, pampering yourselves with fine wines and beers, and fine meats, if living in Newcastle or nearby this is DEFINITELY the place of choice. Meat Beer Life I couldn't have said it better myself.
Wow, just wow! Probably the best beef I have tasted in my life, which has been long and full if epicurean delights. We chose a sirloin joint on the bone which has been aged for 60 days. Beautifully prepared by the butcher and it cooked to perfection its a 2 hour drive to Heaton from Halifax but I will be making the journey often because it is worth it. Friendly staff, meticulous hygiene, amazing meat. Just perfect!
