Pure class metti station. Very quiet and peaceful, hardly any graffiti. Also a very interesting metro station as it is one of the only stations (if not the only one) to not have a bridge connecting the two platforms. Every time I visit it I have a wonderful experience, would highly recommend.

When the former British Rail line was converted for use by the Tyne and Wear Metro, provision of a station between West Jesmond and South Gosforth was very welcome and saved some commuters quite a long walk to catch a train. However, it's a very basic structure without that much shelter for passengers in cold or inclement weather (an issue at many stations on the network). Free parking is available on Ilford Road and nearby streets, although spaces close to the station are usually at a premium and people wanting to get the far platform may also find they have a bit of a trudge to the nearest bridge as one directly linking the platforms wasn't constructed when the station was built. Overall then, advantageous location but otherwise not so good.
Only downside is that the bridge to cross to the other side is a short walk away
There is nothing extra, and nothing missing. Places to sit and shelter from the rain. What more could be needed
