I networked with Nik in order to deliver community theatre sessions in the space. He asked me to work for him and he messed me around regarding dates for my theatre sessions which put a delay on my process. I then ended up working every weekend without a holiday for him on low pay. He would pile his life stresses on me but I was unable to repay the favour due to his narrow perspective. I was accused of giving out free drinks which I never did and was even suspected of taking money from the till because his system is flawed. I was constantly present for him and volunteered my time on numerous occasions. I respected the space more than most... and had to deal with circumstances he still to this day has no idea about. After getting into conflict by following the law and applying my training I was fired. One of the happiest days of my life. :)

A perfect little haven in the city centre to relax, eat delicious food and discover great musicians. It's a really welcoming space with a great community around it :) One of my favourites!
If you're expecting a glitzy night out, this place is not for you. If, however, you appreciate a more quirky, home-made, communal feel to proceedings, this place is hard to beat. They programme a wide array of events, from dancing classes and kids activity afternoons, to full-on club nights and hip-hop/b-boy competitions. Got to give them credit for providing the city with such an adaptable space for the arts, given that the council don't. It may not be perfect, but if you take it for what it is, it's actually pretty good.
Excellent venue, one of the nicest spaces in Newcastle. Really chilled atmosphere and has an excellent array of events and activities to check out. A hidden gem.
Very dynamic venue hosting a variety of events. Anything from yoga to heavy night out! Welcoming and homey atmosphere. Love it :D
I hosted a successful Rock Night at Kommunity last week. The venue is beautiful and fit for any purpose, and the staff there could not be more friendly or helpful. Highly recommended.
Can't believe this place exists! I went for OXJAM and there was a great bar with brilliant live acts on and loads of stalls etc all over the place. Great atmosphere too.
