The farm is very well run with excellent staff. Spoke to a chap called Steven who was taking two goats for a walk. Very pleasant and informative bloke. Well worth a visit.

Visited the Victoria Tunnel on their 1 hour guided tour. Wish the 2 hour one was available (all booked up). Excellent experience from start to finish. Some really interesting and varied history. The guide , Pete, was also excellent and just the right for this. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic (and quiet on his feet) he greatly added to the sum of the visit. The guide book, for me, is also worth having. Hopefully with more support they can do more with this tunnel and it's history. There's LOTS of history around it. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyable tour. It's just a very old tunnel and you can only walk along less than 1km. But the guides bring it alive. Excellent value. Interesting stories. The Ship Pub nearby does good food and great beer!

Had previously tried to book this tour on at least half a dozen occasions and failed due to it's popularity. Ironically when we finally managed to secure a place, due to heavy traffic we arrived here nearly quarter of an hour late! Fortunately the very helpful young lady in reception walked us a few hundred yards to the entrance and we managed to catch the tour. The history of the Tunnel is brought to life by the excellent guides we had who were so passionate about the tunnel. We only had the one hour tour but we will be back....with friends to take advantage of the tour hour tour. We then returned to the Souvenir shop and spoke to several members of the staff who again were so passionate and proud of this the project. The people of Newcastle and The North East should be proud of this relatively new tourist attraction.

I've lived in Newcastle for over 20 years and much to my shame this was my first visit. It won't be my last as I shall be sure to bring all future visitors to experience this. Absolutely fascinating history. Amazing what lies hidden beneath your feet. Go there and experience it for yourself. Volunteer guides who know their stuff and share their knowledge with great humour.

The Victoria Tunnel tour is a real highlight of a cultural trip to Newcastle. Very little has changed inside it so you're seeing a real slice of how the city was during the industrial boom. The tours are taken my volunteer guides who know a lot about the site and have plenty of fascinating stories.
