It's not hard to see why this is the 4th most popular destination in Newhaven. From the stunning vistas of the industrial estate to the frankly gorgeous clientele that frequent the bench, it's a delicious slice of Los Angeles 90s gangsta rap-cum-quintessential British sea-side charm. It's an ideal spot for a moment of quiet solo introspection - take a bottle of White Lightening and let the sounds of \Str8 Off Tha Street Of Muthaphukkin Compton\ transport you to times gone by.

I haven't visited this bench, and in all probability never will, but that doesn't detract from the fact that even from afar the significance of this memorial to arguably one of the most prominent American Gangsta rappers to have died in or around 1995 is recognisable, and truly places Newhaven on the map of music related tourism, alongside Abbey Road pedestrian crossing, and some other places.
Easy E came here in 1993 to visit the Newhaven Carpet Right store (now closed down). Feeling slightly ill ( or possibly overwhelmed by the choice of carpets available) he decided to sit down in the spot to gather his thoughts. It was here he wrote the lyrics for Real Muthaphuckkin G's while eating a ginsters sausage roll
Great bench. Shame about the wastemen that hang out around there, but maybe that's how Eazy-E would've wanted it.
