Kuk Sool Won Newmarket

Kuk Sool Won of Newmarket has a wonderful community surrounding it which is only trumped by the dedication of instructors Scott and Nicola who run the classes. Kuk Sool is extremely varied in terms of syllabus and each class is different, which has always kept me coming back. There's a focus on proper striking techniques (both hand techniques and kicking), joint locking, throwing, sparring, self defence, meditation and much more. For somebody who is not very flexible, I have seen great improvements to not only my fitness, but also my confidence, general health and...well flexibility to an extent! If you're looking to try something new this year that is rewarding and mentally fulfilling, I cannot recommend Kuk Sool Won of Newmarket enough. There are great assistant instructors, so you've always got the attention of somebody more knowledgeable and senior than yourself. I'm now on my way towards my black belt with new found friends, which will take roughly two years (as a minimum)to achieve. I've been coming to class for nearly three years now and haven't looked back!
