I bought my first house with mair matheson and could not fault them as a company. I used Lorraine Kerr as my solicitor and the communication was second to none! She constantly kept me updated on what what’s happening with the sale of the house. Before I had bought my home I was looking at others to buy which she helped and guided me with as this was a whole new experience to me as a first time buyer. I had no idea about notes or interest, offers, closing dates etc which she explained to me throughly and any questions I had I phoned/emailed and was responded to straight away! The sale of my house went as smoothly as I could imagine with not one bit of stress! Would highly recommend them as a company even after the sale was done and I was moved I needed further help which was no hastle and very quickly responded to. Highly recommended.
Recently bought a house with them as the sellers and they were appalling. Sluggish and making mistakes all along, but always had someone else to blame. Painfully slow, to the point that they only sent paperwork once we threatened to pull out. Days before settling, they sent my lawyer plans for the wrong house! By contrast, my lawyer was fantastic. I wouldn't touch them if I had the choice.
Tucked away in a small Ayrshire town is this brilliant Firm of Solicitors. From my experience of them you couldn't find better lawyers anywhere. Their services and client care are fantastic. I would highly recommend this excellent law firm.
