Definitely an interesting little visit if you're in the area. Its free and has lots of displays on Roman dress, coins, general history and there's a garden area outside. Its not very big so you only need 30-40 minutes to visit.

The fortress baths are a small but welcoming introduction to the Roman experience in Caerleon. The museum is undergoing maintenance and reopens in the autumn. The amphitheatre is stunning. Walking round and through it is life affirming. Perfect location for a kids birthday party, which we did years ago - a dozen ten year olds, dressed as Roman soldiers, having a great time!
Great place to go with kids. Especially if they are interested in roman things. But it's best to book since they might turn you away
Small museum but lots to see, the kids love it
Had a great time especially the dressing up.
An amazing array of artifacts and information, the staff were excellent and full of little snippets of extra information
Lots of information and artefacts to see, the coffin (see photos) was especially interesting. Just lacks more interactive information, but as it is free to enter can't really complain.
Interesting, well presented and reasonable priced, for the bath remains, the rest is free.
