A beautiful hotel in a stunning location, though not entirely what I had hoped, for the money we paid. I think I'm quite forgiving in the current pandemic, but several aspects of the experience weren't quite up to scratch. To start, we booked and paid for 5 guests, there were only 4 cups in the suite and as many tea bags/coffee sachets. 3 teenagers in our group (dob given on booking) robes were for much smaller children. Outside spa is open, but it is not finished. Several of the air beds weren't working inside and out, scaffolding around cafe exterior with workforce in situ. Showers were lovely, as was the jacuzzi and a 25m indoor pool was a delight. In summer, with better weather I'm sure it'll be great when finished, but very little that younger teens can access. The service was fine, food in the restaurant in the evening was okay, a chicken burger was bland and the vegetarian option lacked any real flavour. Steaks were good as was the pork though. Expected more, don't think I'm being harsh.

It's a beautiful place with amazing views of the coastline. Food was delicious and the staff are very friendly. Giving it 4 stars because unfortunately the baby changing facilities were really basic and not very clean, which I think should be improved upon, especially during the pandemic. Apart from that we had a great experience.

My husband and I have just come back from a few days away staying at The Headland Hotel. We had the most wonderful time. The staff were amazing, food amazing, our room was incredible. We went for lovely walks and how very beautiful the area is. So much to do and see. The spar was superb. Great fun swimming. The new leisure complex fantastic. A very special, romantic, beautifully clean, and decorated hotel. We will certainly return and recommend to our friends. Thank you for giving us such a great stay.

We visited the Headland with our dog and we didn’t realise when we booked afternoon tea that the restaurant didn’t allow dogs. We generally just presume that dogs are allowed anywhere in Newquay and didn’t think to ask. The staff were very apologetic and helpful and swiftly moved us to a table in the ballroom. The ballroom has a different menu and we asked if the restaurant minded serving us the witches afternoon tea in there as we had got our hopes up for it. This was accommodated and we were delighted. The witches theme was so fun and the food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The view out onto Fistral was breathtaking and our dog had a very peaceful snooze at our feet. We weren’t rushed and the staff were very attentive. We also wanted to check out The Deck after our visit which is in the newly built annexe next to the original hotel and serves food and drink as well as having spa facilities. Unfortunately this swanky space doesn’t allow dogs either, so we only saw the reception area.

We visited last week for my sisters wedding, was really impressed with the facilities the cottages are beautiful and the new spa pool was a firm favourite with the whole family. The only problem with spa is that not all the fancy gadget bubble machines worked. The kids had a fab time though and it was just lovely to sit back and relax. We also booked a breakfast which was a bit lack lustre and the instructions were not clear and the manager ended up giving us into trouble for something that wasn’t our fault. He was also going round along with the waiting staff talking to ALL the guests without a face mask \u200d️\u200d️. The only staff wearing masks were the chefs. We had a lovely week. Would highly recommend the beaches they are amazing.
