Love the food and service here. Warm welcoming staff, nice clean set up. Ice cream bar to the front. Also take out with ding along side and back. Following covid rules very well. Food was delicious as always- bueno milk shake highly recommend!

Let me start by saying I am a regular genoa customer (2-3 times a week) and even more with children's ice cream etc. I went into the genoa over the weekend to be told I had to leave the premises as I was not wearing a mask. As I tried to reply the man behind the counter said its government guidelines and there is nothing we can do and walked away. Firtsly, I am exempt from wearing a mask and was wearing the appropriate lanyard. I was so frustrated that instead of having an argument in front of various customers I decided not to speak and just to never come back here again. Please advise your staff that people can be exempt for a number of reasons that they dont want to discuss publicly in front of other customers, asthma, anxiety and various other health reasons. Also id like to point out that the other staff members never ONCE questioned me not wearing a mask and on one occasion i was asked to stand outside to wait for my order which i was fine with. You have lost alot of business through me my family and friends and the more I speak with people the more similar stories I hear, I have also encouraged them to leave their reviews as I was made to feel very stupid in front of alot of people . Ill also be posting this on social media
Love the Genoa... their chips are gorgeous. A simple plate of chips and coleslaw with sv from here it's sho satisfying.... fish is beautiful too. It's clean and the waitresses are hardworking, friendly and professional. Staff are always clean and tidy. Toilet is always clean an maintained.... weird thing to write but seriously if I don't wanna pee somewhere ...I def don't wanna eat there!
I waited 37 minutes on a chip sorry!!! the lady that served me was interested in scooping ice cream ball but chip was good when I got it
i was at genoa 15/2/2021 put an order for two small chips it took them 15 to 20 minutes to give me my order, I then spoke to a man after, he told me he was the manager I told him about how long I had to wait he then said the chips should had been about five minutes, he then got his mummy to ring me, she said she was the owner, she first said it was 7 minutes then changed her mind and then said it was 15 minutes, but we was waiting 20 minutes, the man that took the order was more interested messing about with the girl at the back then frying fish & chips I had no MASK on and not once did he say anything to me about it, the manager and the owner was not very helpful very ignorant, WONT BE BACK my advice go to fryer tucks or country fried chicken church street warrenpoint
