We all know how hard businesses have been hit this year due to the plandemic but on this occasion, Hillside Nursery just didn't have the sparkle it does every other year on the run up to Christmas despite being open and having a full flow of families walking through it on a Sunday. It seemed that the products on offer were homogeneous with all the other stores like The Range and B&Q only at twice the price. The hot chocolate in the cafe was bland and any hot food on offer was limited and hidden under buffet lids with no veggie options or menu on display. Hopefully things will change for my next visit in the new year. They do have a lovely outdoor area with a great selection of shrubs.

A bit early in the Christmas Season but some nice trees and stuff there. A bit pricey but then I am cheap and wont to compare prices from 1980-2019! Had a nice coffee and Cinnamon thingy and half a Raspberry Ruffle tray bake outside cafe on a picnic bench.

Love this place!!! Fantastic quality of plants. Great gift shop and a Christmas range that is second to none. The staff that work here are lovely as well!!!

Right. I have a bone to pick with customer service with this place. On Wednesday 16th December, my mum and I went up and saw an ideal Christmas Present for my Dad. A stone pick up truck for garden display. I couldn’t lift it myself as it required two people to lift it and my mum has a history of back problems. We tried to get an employee to help but we’re told ‘all we needed to was get a trolley and lift it ourselves.’ My mum sent an email on Wednesday lunchtime and have yet to get a reply. A great place to shop as long as you can tend for yourself. Very disappointing customer service.

Brilliant loads of Christmas items to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!! Cafe in it was lovely and food was great, loads of room to sit in and very spacious!!
