From an employee point of view - there is a strange urgency to get you interviewed, checked, trained and out there working. The training is good though. They also stipulate – “Crossroads endeavour to place Care Attendants main work within the area that they live”. However NOT ONE CALL was I offered in my own area – the nearest call was approximately 3 miles away (as the crow flies)! They definitely have their ‘favourites’ who no doubt get local work / nice work – so I suppose it works for some. But I’m rather disappointed and left pondering a lot of unanswered questions re what way Crossroads really operate. My advice is be cautious.
