Specifically, granola, made with fruit and vegetable juice pulp that normally goes to waste; it's high in fibre, low in sugar, abundant, and adds delicious flavours and textures to bakes. nibs etc. was founded on the belief that while food waste is a fundamental and potentially catastrophic issue, the solution is mostly in OUR hands. So why not do something about it. Chloë founded the blog, nibs etc., about upcycling leftovers and no-waste recipes at home, back in 2015. But it wasn't until 2017, that the blog would evolve offline. And after winning the Cotswold Fayre Young Food & Drink Entrepreneur of the Year, and the (first) WeWork Creator Awards, that the concept of the business, began to take shape. Following that, nibs etc. launched at the legendary Borough Market, moved into a commercial kitchen, took on its first wholesale customers, and finally incorporated. The following year, nibs etc. was awarded a second WeWork Creator Award, that would be the catalyst for growth. Granola is our pulp product of choice; with proven demand, it's more easy to scale, which will allow for us to save more pulp, unnecessary food waste, from landfill. All the while fueling you with fibre, and powering you with pulp. To date, we've saved over 200kg of fruit and vegetable pulp from landfill.
