My car had been MOT'd by the council and I couldn't make to the appointment for a retest, so I booked in with NSTB for a MOT, I spoke to a great bloke at first that booked me in, end of good experience with this company. When I took the car in I tried to explain that it had been MOT'd and failed, but no one was listening to me, in fact the man I was talking to was on the phone, he dialled whilst I was talking to him! That should have been my warning! The car failed its MOT, for a whole heap of things that the Council MOT centre at Cromer Road didn't pick up, one of which was failed because "it was covered in grease so I failed it anyway" whilst I was trying to explain that I couldn't understand why Government testers hadn't picked up these things the helpful, condescending man printed out a page and highlighted the words, so I could see them clearly? This was very unnecessary, I am an educated woman with English being my first language, you can tell me, I shall understand! The man with the highlighter pen, after offering to "give me a quote to see how much it will cost to fix it" told me he felt like the bad guy. I say this, IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE, THEY WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE EVERY LAST PENNY FROM YOU AND SMILE AT YOU AS THEY DO IT, THEY MIGHT EVEN HIGHLIGHT A FEW WORDS ON A PAGE SO YOU CAN SEE THEM! In all of my 42 years I have never been treated so badly or made to feel so degraded by a company for being a woman. And then call Colin at ACC Auto's to do the work for you

I took my vauxhall corsa C for a full service and oil leak problem in Longton. They rang me before their garage closing time to inform me my car won't be ready on that day. Since i lived close by, I went to the garage to see what the problem was. To my surprise, when i got there they told me my car was ready. They charged me 330 for the service which included 4 brand-new tyres that they convinced me to buy plus some oil gasket part. I don't think my car was fully serviced though or even serviced at all. Before i took it North Staffs i knew my car had problems with the lights. One of the headlights wasn't working and needed a bulb replacing, had a broken fog light, one of my parking lights needed replacing, my wipers i knew needed replacing. According to the full service information on their website, these are supposed to be checked and fixed as part of a full service but they did not fix any of those problems at all. My car even sounded loud when driving after the service. Took it back and one of the garage workers in the shop was extremely rude and did not want to listen to what i had to say. I kept going back there because my car didn't sound right until they took it for a test drive and apparently it was fine according to them. I took my car to a LM Autos in Tunstall a month later to get the timing chain on my car done. The garage called me mid day to tell me i had an oil leak and a gasket thing needed changing, they also said i had some air flow problem. I had already paid for a gasket and air filter (Air filter included in full service) at North Staffs and they assured me that my oil leak problem was fixed but obviously it hadn't been done. If the gasket, lights,air filter, wipers weren't done, what else did they not do. I feel disgusted and sick to my stomach because i know i got robbed and paid over 300 for a service that wasn't done. STAY AWAY AS THEY WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE EVERY PENNY THEY CAN FROM YOU. THESE PEOPLE ARE ROUGE AND THEY ARE THIEVES
