It’s taken me 21 years to find a heating engineer prepared to take on my house and wow, what a find! Paul Taylor. Super friendly, reliable, communicative and tidy. Paul will treat your project as if it is his own. He allows enough time to do the job properly and if that means taking the difficult route to get a better finish, he will. Has tremendous knowledge and can explain things in such a simple way. I had 4 quotes, Paul was the only one to notice the faults with my current system and flag up potential hurdles with forthcoming industry changes. I really cannot rate Paul enough. From the moment I opened the door to him one thing was clear: Paul Taylor is a pro. In a polite way, he takes charge; he tells you what's possible, what isn't, what alternatives exist, the labour time and the amount of disruption involved; your quote will be in your inbox by the end of the day. If you give him the job, he does it exactly when he says he will for the price agreed. Absolutely nothing leads me to suspect that this professionalism isn't replicated on every job he does. More than that, however, Paul is an interesting person to talk to about each and every aspect of construction, planning, engineering etc. - my partner even engaged him in long chats about family matters. As I said to him, the ability to communicate with clarity and intelligence is what separates good tradesmen from the best. You'll struggle to find better than this fella.
Paul fitted a new boiler quickly and expertly when one of the big energy company’s just stood and scratched their heads. Paul is now our go to plumbing and heating engineer, he is highly knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy and his prices are fair. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I needed thermal solar panels removing asap so my roofer could access and repair the leaking roof tiles underneath. Paul came out within a few days and gave a thorough appraisal of the work required. Paul Taylor was recommended to us by a friend when our hot water packed up. Paul came out pretty quickly and conducted a thorough survey of our hot water and heating system. He quickly identified that our hot water tank was beyond repair and that our boiler was leaking. Over the course of three days, Paul removed our old system and replaced it with a modern (and relocated) boiler and water tank. From the moment he arrived we had complete confidence in Paul. We both needed to be out of the house for work and had no hesitation in giving him a key to the house. Paul bought in an electrician who's costs were included in our quote. The job was completed on time and on budget and we are very happy with the quality of the workmanship and the system itself. On top of all this Paul is a really nice guy, and easy to get hold of. Throughout the job communication was excellent. We shall definitely use Paul again (although hopefully not too soon!) and would be happy to recommend him.
