Yesterday (Sunday) at about noon my house suffered a power cut. I telephoned Northern Powergrid who confirmed it was just my property and not a general area cut. They sent out someone about an hour later to survey the problem which was a tree on adjoining land that had fallen bringing down an overhead cable just supplying my house. Further forces were brough in to clear the tree and reconnect the supply. By 5.15 PM we were fully connected again. An excellent and timeous response to our problem which I believe deserves commendation and thanks. Dr M J O'Brien
