Moreover, Philip Goodson is extremely knowledgeable and most helpful. We cannot recommend Blackrow Nurseries highly enough.

I have purchased hedging plants from here on two occasions. I created a beech hedge from scratch and prepared the soil well and had a good mulch. I perhaps lost about 10% of my whips within a year and that was two years ago. I consider that pretty good. I then bought replacement ones and a few extra ones to fill gaps and they have done well so far (only 3 months since pruchsse). My hedge is about 40m in lengh so nothing grand. The place is very simple and I like it. Its no garden centre, but true to its root and how i imagine most garden centres first formed. I found the gentleman running the place very helpful and knowledgable. I will go again without a doubt!
The gentleman who runs this nursery was deeply knowledgeable and could not have been more helpful. I can recommend this nursery unreservedly.
Really rude old man - trees very over priced and dead before Christmas! I will not be a returning customer!!
Scruffy old place ran by a Victor Meldrew sound alike. Don't waste your time and fuel going here.
