Rob performed a Radiogram service on my 1957 restoration project DECCA SRG600 and provided a safety transformer upgrade and wiring loom. I supplied him with the electronic valve chassis and Garrard 121 record deck and he performed a tremendous job. His advice is polite and engaging, and he is technically excellent. He supplied supplementary items I requested on pick up, and his service is very good value. I was worried who to trust this to as I have put a lot of work into it, french polishing and adding wifi along with other mods to bring it into the 21st century. I can now say that Rob took very special care of it, and replaced many capacitors, resistors and serviced volume and tone controls. He adjusted the tone of the tuner as it was lacking warmth. He answered many technical questions I had, and it was very reassuring to find someone to give advice you can trust. It has been a long time since I have felt I have received such value from a technical service, and if you are considering him for your beloved vintage item, you will not be disappointed.

Very professional and efficient service. The standard of work carried out on my 45 year old equipment exceeded my expectations and at a very fair price too. You can leave your treasured radio here with confidence

I purchased a 1960s Bush valve radio on eBay. I plugged it in and tuned it into radio Caroline on 648 medium wave. A hideous rasping noise came out of the speaker and then a very loud crack as one of the capacitors exploded. Oh dear - not only did the tuning scale not illuminate but the on/off switch was welded into the on position. I had heard about the vintage radio and television shop on radio Caroline so put my poorly old radio into Robs capable hands. Two weeks later he telephoned me with the good news. The radio sounded like new and had been lovingly polished and all nicotine odours had gone. Rob had repaired the switch, replaced the loudspeaker, replaced two bulbs, replaced numerous capacitors, re-strung the broken tuning pointer and replaced the mains flex with a modern flex and three pin plug . Rob is a wizard of the oscilloscope and soldering iron and I have only positive good words to say about him.

Did a great job on my 1950s valve radio bringing it back to life and adding a Bluetooth connection. Recommended.

Rob Howard restored a 1926 vintage Verity's electric desk fan for us, bringing the metalwork back to life and returning the mechanics and electrics to full working order to operate with modern electricity supplies and voltage. He was a pleasure to deal with both over the phone and by email and then in person when we went to collect our repair. A great job at a reasonable price - thoroughly recommended!! Thank you.
