I contacted Alterations Studio degrading a large assignment. Having read their reviews, I felt they would be the better choice from other tailors, despite others offering to do the work cheaper. Arranged a meeting and met with Alex and his wife and discussed the work and we agreed a price and I said I will be in touch in coming weeks. Finally, when we met and I bought along some samples, I felt something wasn’t right as if they were unsure on doing the assignment we agreed. They took the samples, applied the work, and then said it was to much work and they can’t do it. Strange that. They agreed to the job and knew exactly what the volume was. It become clear they were now refusing the work because lockdown was being eased. I was recommended a member of their staff who could do the work. Alex promised and assured me they will do the work, and if not Alex will do the work instead. He really assured me, gave me his word promised me I have nothing to worry about. Considering I had turned down two other tailers for them I wasn’t happy being brushed off. I met with this other person who assured me they know what is required and will do they work and were told the price agreed by Alex. After 2 days, they called and said we can’t do the work, its to much and lockdown is easing, and we have other jobs coming in. I offered more money they refused to do it. I called Alex who said “what you want me to do about it? Offer them more money, it’s not my problem”. I explained you assured me they will do the work, they have now backed out and you gave me your word. We shook on it and you have me a gentleman’s promise you will take the work on if they didn’t do it. He refused to do anything and said, its not my problem and I can’t help. He was very rude and had put me in a terrible position. Clearly customer service and promises mean nothing to these people. Shameful and disgraceful. Be very careful when using them, they can’t be trusted.

Amazing Wedding Dress Alteration. From beginning to end, it was such a lovely experience. Putting your wedding dress in someone else’s hands is nerve-wracking but I felt confident in the professionalism of these lovely people and they talked me through exactly what they were going to do, how they were going to do it and invited me to try on at each stage. I cannot thank them enough for the amazing job they have done and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them

I have had two leather jackets altered in the past 2 months. On both occasions, the quality of the workmanship was first class and the cost very reasonable taking account of the amount of work. Very friendly, approachable man and woman team. I'd strongly recommend, and I'm pretty fussy!
