We had booked a lunchtime table during Eat out to Help Out and arrived quite early but was seated promptly to our table. The online ordering system is clever and works well, reducing the contact you have with staff. My husband and I had the BBQ platter to share which was lovely. The coleslaw had been forgotten but was quickly brought out afterwards. Everything was super tasty and cooked well. I also had the tropical IPA which was lovely and refreshing. Decor was very nice and it's a lovely location right on the river Trent. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again when we're in the area.

Was a bit disappointed after our visit here. The food we had ordered took over an hour to arrive and we were waiting a long time on drink orders too. When we asked where the food after about 40 mins waiting, we were told there was an hour long wait - but they hadn’t said anything to us about this when we first walked in to sit down, and the place didn’t look too busy. We were kindly offered free drinks on the house... However we were told that these had to be the exact same drinks we’d already ordered! I understand adapting to new rules is hard with the QR code ordering, but just feel like the service was really, really bad!
Went here twice for a drink and both times the service was extremely slow despite it not being busy. The second time we order tea and a coffee. We were waiting 15 minutes and it still did not arrive. We couldn't wait any longer so left. I contacted their Facebook page and email address afterwards to explain and try get a refund but no one replied. Wouldn't recommend as the service to other tables seemed slow too.
Good place only had coffee breakfast menu a little limited but no complaints really would recommend
Visited here with my boyfriend for a lovley lunch was served by Julia. I felt safe and welcomed to the pub and the beers were fantastic
