Absolutely HORRIBLE company AVOID! I moved out my old apartment 6 months ago and they keep asking me to pay more and more, after I paid another 300 I thought that’s finished. NO they somehow said I still owe 12 and passed it to a debt collect company. I’ve told them so many times I moved and gave them my email address, new address and phone number, no communication at all and they keep sending letters to my old address, I’m lucky that the new tenet passed my letters to me, that I got this letter from the debt collect company, otherwise I wouldn’t even know. How can you pay or avoid without knowing this problem!

Eon. Wow. You only get 1 star because I can’t give zero. Switched provider now as it is so bad. Smart metre constantly loses connection so you can’t top up or read your balance. My gas currently reads -999,999 and my electric is 0 apparently. Eons answer: sorry your metre may occasionally lose connection. Not good enough. The metre loses connection more than it actually has it. So the more accurate response would be: your metre occasionally connects. Asked if I can switch back to the other metre. Eons answer: sorry but to do that you’ll have to pay. Again, not good enough. You persuaded me to have one of these ‘AMAZING’ ‘SMART’ metres and now it doesn’t work I’m going to have to pay to put right your shortcomings? Installer told me I’d never need access to the metre as it’s all done through the phone so I boxed it in on that advice. I actually need access every time I want to top up because it never connects. Eons answer: we are sorry but we ask all of our operatives to tell you that the metre needs to be accessible. Again, not good enough. That’s not what the operative said and I’ve had to rip down all the plaster work and re-do all the boxing out of my own pocket. App doesn’t work, too slow and never connects to my metres. Complained about these issues numerous times and got given compensation. Thing is I don’t want compensation.. I want a metre that is as advertised and that works correctly. How Eon, at the size of business they are, can just turn a blind eye to these issues for so long is absolutely beyond me. Dumbest ‘smart’ metre system I’ve ever known and I’m a plumber so I’ve seen a fair few issues.
