MountField SP Mower. I had mine serviced last week. All working fine and cutting much better. Read online, old fuel residue in petrol (cans) can mess things up . There was a few days delay getting it back but I it was that not bothered. Recommend if you need it back on a certain day make agreement first. Overall OK.

In Reply to Eileen Hall Review, I did explain we were about to go on Holiday when you rang about the mower & a time & date was arranged to look at the machine when we got back but you decided to bombard us with phone calls and e mails then when we were back denied you could not even remember that we had arranged to look at you mower. I did arrive on the day and time agreed and started your machine within 30 seconds & even cut some of your grass to make sure the machine was ok & we did not even get a thank you just unfair review .

My Mountfield mower was serviced earlier this year ready for grass cutting in March. The first time it was needed to be used it failed to start. I called and was told he can't do anything as it's probably caused by me using old petrol. I explained the two sealed petrol cans had only just been filled with petrol and so he said he would collect it and sort. - He failed to turn up. - Has not replied to emails or phone calls. - That's 84 for a min functioning mower when it operated perfectly before it went there. It just needed a service to freshen it up for the coming season. NOT GOOD TO IGNORE CUSTOMERS.

I had damaged my heavy duty Flymo (4-stroke Honda engine) by trying to start it without realising water had entered the engine through the air filter cover which had slipped off whilst I was hosing it down. Even after ensuring it had dried out it would only misfire. I took it to John Douglas at Grass & Power and am very pleased that after stripping it down he found the damage limited to an exhaust valve, which he replaced. He rebuilt the engine, refitted it and filled it with fresh oil. It now runs as new. His total charge was at the bottom end of his original estimate. I am a very satisfied customer and will have him service my ride-on mower before next season.
