We've just ordered one of their TV Dinners and they are AMAZING. Much bigger than they look on their photos too. We also had the fried chicken and fried potatoes. Just having a break as there is so much! The taste is just superb. I hope they continue post lockdown! Thank you!

Amazing. Stunning. Mind boggling. There aren't enough words for how special this place is. Everything is on point, from the ambience to the service to the tableware. The food is incredible. Simple, elegant, refined and delicious. Always something interesting on the specials board and the core menu never disappoints. The prawn toast is life changing.
What can I say... I struggle to find words that can really describe the level of mastery that you’re dealing with here, hands down the best restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Notts, and I like to think I’ve experienced all the city has to offer. Simon and his team are some of the most dedicated and skilled chefs I know of in the industry, and my god do they show it! It was getting to the point where I felt like they were just showing off how good their food is and how they’ve conquered the trade. Precision, quality and consistently good flavoursome food will leave you wanting more. I will be returning to this place for the foreseeable and recommending to all who may desire such deliciousness.
Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had, amazing staff, great atmosphere and decor, very affordable for the quality, the lunch deal in particular is fantastic value for money and you get to try a lot of dishes! Its a must if you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine as it’s a side of it you don’t see often enough!
Always a pleasure to visit Kushi-ya, I also always order too much food and drink... The belly pork is the best thing ever (when its on the menu), The menu is consistantly good and seasonal so take advantage of that. A great experience to share with a group of friends, A place that lifts up Nottingham.
