I visited the Allotments today to deliver some wooden pallets for a friend. This is to help make some of her structures more secure and stable which will also help with the growth of the plot. It was necessary to park next to my friends access point in a small lay by to carry these pallets to her plot. My friend has no parking spot to park near her plot, a older man approached us in his vehicle and got a bit lippy for parking in his lay by, granted no one likes their assigned spot taken but in the spirit of ensuring community cohesion for all plot user this action to park in his spot was necessary. Certainly did not expect to be spoken in a manner of a man of that age. Then make no effort what so ever to assist us in leaving his parking space by not leaving us much space to get out. It was ironic though cause he complained that car parking there churn up the mud, what did he do when we left??? Park straight over it, making the mud churning worse. Sad to see attitudes like this from people of that age when trying to help others.
