Massive castle grounds and the museum is amazing. One could really get lost in the beauty and history around them. It really is a sight to see. Although book a full day for it because it really takes some time to do. But its worth every minuite in there. The cave tour is also very much worth the visit.

Absolutely loved it. Me and my brother went for our first time there. Before we knew it, it was closing time. So easy to get lost within the castle as well as the grounds. First time up to Nottingham as well. Definitely will be back. Recommend going for an awesome day out full of history. Ideal for every one. Staff are absolute gems and really friendly. The cafe staff are awesome too. Cater to most food diets as well. Just loved it! Thank you.

We went for the jousting and annual show, a great day out for children and adults alike. Could not be faulted in anyway, does get extremely busy so leave plenty of time to nose around the stalls, watch the displays and join in the numerous and sometimes quite fascinating interactive facilities, extremely informative about day to day living, weaponry, archery, cooking, food stuffs you name it!. Stepped in history and legends…. one for the bucket list!

Not what I was expecting at all. Nothing of the medieval castle seems to remain and very little information about the actual history of the castle. It's just a (not very good) art gallery with a bit of a garden. Hopefully the renovations over the next couple of years will improve the visitor experience and actually explain the castle's history.

Grata castle, very different sand unique. Couldn't go inside as they are renovating, but there plenty to see outside. Should be really good to visit once the renovation is complete.
