A Long overdue eye test with absolutely amazing staff! Friendly and helpful. With a supplied mask, temp check and frequent cleaning of equipment never once did have to worry about covid while here.

I had idesign laser eye surgery done at the Nottingham clinic in early January. It was the best decision i have ever made. I had thought about having surgery for a long time however always changed my mind, in the new year i decided to book a consultation and finally see if it was the right thing for me. At the consultation everything was clearly explained and a price was provided, i didn't make a decision on the day and went home to think it through, no pressure was put on me at all. I was a little hesitant at first as on reading reviews about optical express there were some negatives regarding the aftercare provided. However, based on the customer service i received at the consultation i felt happy and so decided to go ahead with the surgery. All the staff at the clinic were amazing, particularly Sharon. She went over and above for me and was really helpful before, during and after my surgery. The surgery itself was pain free and the surgeon himself and supporting staff were all really informative and reassuring. I was slightly nervous however it seemed to be over and done with very quickly. Before leaving after surgery i was provided with thorough guidance on the do’s and don'ts and on the required eye drops. I attended my 1 day follow up the next day and it was already confirmed that i had better than 2020 vision! In respect of aftercare, i have attended 3 follow up appointments and at each appointment have been provided with excellent customer service. I have been given details and reassurance that should i have any concerns then just to phone up and i will be seen. Overall i would definitely recommend this to anyone, it really is the best decision i have ever made.

I had lens replacement surgery on 23rd October 2020, so only 3 days ago and I am typing this without my glasses!! I arrived with my hubby who the staff made very welcome, even fetching him coffee from the shops. The surgery and nursing staff were also very professional and caring and even Dr Desai had a little chat with me before surgery to put me at ease. The surgery was quicker than I expected and I am hopeful for a brilliant outcome, once things settle.

I had LASIK eye surgery back in September 2020 and cannot recommend optical express Nottingham enough! The surgery itself was totally pain free and done before you know it. The surgery staff are amazing and I felt totally comfortable and at ease with them. After my surgery I could immediately see better, although slightly hazy which I was aware would happen and when the numbing drops wore off there was quite a lot of pain (I forgot to bring pain relief tablets with me but as soon as I took them when I got home the pain wasn’t as intense). I had a sleep for a few hours and when I woke up my eyes were light sensitive but my vision was incredibly clear! The day after surgery I had a check up with the optometrist and was told I had better than 20/20 vision and was signed off for driving! I had some swelling in both eyes, which I was told was to be expected so they asked me to return every couple of days to keep an eye on the swelling. Over the next couple of weeks, I used the recommended eye drops as per the instructions and I returned every couple of days. My right eye’s swelling had gone right down but my left eye was still pretty swollen. I was given stronger some eye drops to use every hour through the day for a further couple of weeks and at my next check up the swelling had reduced. During this time my vision was really good, the only thing the swelling seemed to effect was my sight at night and I’d see halos and starbursts around bright lights. At the start of December I returned to the clinic for my 3 month check up appointment and both eyes have heeled, there is no swelling, no more halos or starbursts at night, my vision is better than 20/20 and it’s the best I’ve ever been able to see! The journey from start to finish has been great and the after care support I’ve received from the optometrists and surgeon at Optical Express has been incredible. Thank you so much!
