Superb from start to finish Called and nothing was too much trouble. Pure honest professional advice that you simply do not get ANYWHERE else. My dad is a very keen golfer and I wanted to surprise I’m with something for his birthday and not knowing the first thing about golf I was worried I would drop a clanger and buy a gift that was not suitable for him. The staff were really helpful and explained what would be a great gift for him at different prices. There was no pressure to buy and I felt that they were genuinely there to help me. Would strongly recommend them and will defiantly return for his next gift. I may even take up golfing myself!

I had owned a set of PING ISI irons in Beryllium Copper some years ago and always fancied a set in the even rarer Nickel. I found a set on ebay and after buying them had them tweaked for lie somewhere else but always had doubts that the shafts were the best fit for me. A phone conversation with Gene confirmed that he could help and I made an appointment to visit the Newark store. After hitting several balls on the launch monitor under Gene's watchful eye it was diagnosed that the shaft was too short, was the wrong flex, the kick point was in the wrong place and the grips were too small. He could change the shafts for a 2017 model but did I really want to spend my money putting new shafts into a head designed in 1998 when technology offered so much more forgiveness in an iron head? Several swings with the Mizuno DNA swing thingy diagnosed a selection of suitable shaft options and then we set about trying heads from Mizuno (3) Cobra, Taylor Made (2) and Callaway (3). I'd hit a few shots then Gene would get busy with the wrench until we had narrowed it down. Nothing was too much trouble and I could have hit shots until I was exhausted if that is what it took. We eventually opted for Mizuno JPX900 Forged and discussed wedge and grip options before placing the order. 10 or so days later I went back to Newark to collect them. What a feeling, opening a box of new clubs fitted to my swing. Anita set me up on the launch monitor so that I could get a handle on my distances before hitting the course and I took as long as I wanted. Thanks guys. Great service and highly recommended
