I joined Nuffield at the beginning of February 2020 after being a member of my last gym for 13 years, so was a bit unsure of what to expect. I needn’t have worried I am thoroughly enjoying it, I have an off peak membership and there are plenty of varied classes during this time. They offer some classes which I have never tried before like, Les Mills barre and cardio tennis. I can’t wait to get in on a weekend to try some more new classes. I have found the staff across all areas of they gym/tennis centre brilliant, very friendly and informative. Also the members are very welcoming too. It’s great to be able to do classes, tennis and swim under one roof and at a good price. Also to be able to bring your child swimming, I did ask about this before joining and was told about the times and if there was any cost, which for my daughters age group is nothing. Even if I had to pay it would still be cheaper than going to a council run pool. On this set session there is no huffing and puffing from other members which I have come across in other gyms. The 12 week health MOT is a great way to stay on track with things you may not know need attention such as cholesterol and blood pressure. Overall I am extremely happy I made the leap and joined this friendly varied gym, thanks Nuffield

Gym is ok..ish. Equipment is rather old and outdated, weights section is crammed into a small corner with not enough benches, whilst there are way too many cardio machines, which are never fully in use. Gym has somewhat an old ala 90's low budget vibe. Classes are not particularly welcoming for a younger generations, music in the gym is nothing but awful. Swimming coach is available only in children free hours... which are the hours adults would usually be at work. Tennis trainer cancelled the initial class an hour before and NEVER called back. Overall for a person in 20's or 30's the only selling point is possibly location and that gym swimming pool is in one place. But definitely plenty of room for improvement there on various aspects from marketing, to layout to diversification of the product to welcome variety of social groups.

I have been attending this gym on and off since 2004 and I have found all the staff extremely polite and friendly. I have looked and tried other gyms in the past, but I always find myself returning to this gym. I feel comfortable and at home at this gym. I know the equipment is a little old now and maybe the gym is due a little bit of a refurbishment (The equipment is well maintained) but to me its home and its that what matters...it is bright and welcoming. In the past even though the sessions can become expensive I have taken advantage of the Personal Trainer sessions and I have experienced fantastic results in my progress both physically and mentally. I became aware that my body was changing becoming stronger, losing weight and as a result I had more confidence in myself with a feel good factor. I learnt a lot from the Personal Trainer such as correct form, things to eat and getting the best out of the programs and the gym equipment. However, I am a mature student with not a great deal of spare money and I would love to continue with a personal trainer session but I just cannot afford the monthly overall costs associated with the sessions. So, it would be nice to see some discounts for personal training for people such as me on low incomes. But overall thank you for being an amazing gym.

It's a one off destination for all kinds of classes and training. Being a member, you can choose from a variety of instructor led classes for yoga, HIT, cardio, aerobic, GRIT strength, LES Mills, etc. You also have your own space to workout and at morning & evening times this gets a bit busy. Swimming pool, sauna and steam is also available for its members in the gym fees. The showers are usually not too good. Most of the times they're broken or not in use. The staff is helpful and friendly. Overall it's a good one in Hull.

Love the cardio in the gym , great running equipments and staff are friendly but unfortunately the gym close early at 10pm and 6pm in the weekend. Only if it's 24/7 then I will rate it 5.
