Nice sized gym. Never too busy, where you're bumping in to people whilst working out. The staff make you feel really welcome and are happy to help. Plenty of equipment and classes to get you in shape.

I've been a member here since it opened and wouldn't go anywhere else in Chester. It's a small club, so that has its limitations (small and run-down car park, limited pool facilities etc.) but these pale into insignificance in relation to the atmosphere the staff and fellow members create. This is a genuine club, where you are recognised and staff are friendly, taking a real interest in how you are doing. You also see familiar faces in classes and the gym, which for me is a real plus, motivating me to go more often. The staff listen to feedback, constantly adjusting the class timetable and making sure there is something for everyone. The gym equipment is kept in good repair and you can always see PTs around the club, whether to ask for help or just for a chat. Since the Nuffield took over, there have been lots of improvements, with the pool, sauna and steam-room better-maintained, a new fitness studio for yoga / pilates, access to physio / massage on-site and good up-keep of the gym and studios. The small size will always be limiting, but staff do a great job here and I'd strongly recommend the gym to anyone in Chester.
Great place. Been for the first time everything fresh and some further refurbished getting done. In certain times of the day you could find a peace in there. Dry sauna great, swimming pool just a bit cold ;)
Overall i personally think the Gym is fine and staff are polite on entering and leaving.Changing room space is limited , plenty of lockers but not a lot of space to put your gear when getting changed.At Peak Times always seem to run out of the tissues to clean the equipment ,Maintenance on Watt bikes is a concern as the last few weeks the same issue keeps arising . Car Parking is tight and limited at Peak Periods and not gritted when we had the bad weather Not being able to use the pool has been frustrating at times but in fairness i do get a text warning of the closure. Done a session last night and still a WATT Bike not been fixed !!
Ladies changing room not very private if you don't want to stand there naked in front of everyone who may be in there. Also they NEVER answer the phone. No follow up when joining. No one asks how you are getting on!!! All they want is your money!!

Can be greatly improved. Sauna is much needed.
It's a nice gym, not massive which is great but can get crowded at busy times. The blokes changing room is too small. However equipment is great, staff are really friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. Looks great since it had its face-lift. Needs Wi-Fi though.
