Free parking and nice helpful staff but not enough of them, only two for a big store. Lots of gaps in the office furniture area, lots of lines out of stock, some shelves half empty. Pretty full prices. This place gives a good impression of somewhere that is going under or undergoing a change of some sort. Certainly not bustling, efficient and well stocked.

SERIOUSLY NOT IMPRESSED!!! I needed to purchase an item for work & found it on the Staples website at a reasonable price. Staples in Oxford is only 10 minutes from work so I thought it would be quick & convenient to pop in during my lunch hour. When I got there the item was out of stock but on inquiring, I was told by the assistant that they could order it in for me to collect the next day. Perfect. At that point 'quick and convenient' went out of the window as I had to wait there for 25 minutes because the printer wasn't working. Anyway, the order was placed and I went to collect it today, only to find out that my order was subject to a delivery charge of 5 which the assistant had completely forgotten to mention. I won't be shopping in Staples again!
Great selection of office materials available. the best thing for me is that there is parking on site which is very unusually for a store in Oxford City. It is very rarely full and it is policed as follows: 60 minutes after the ANPR cameras clock you in, you will receive a parking fine in the post. I'm not sure if they have any mechanism for knowing whether you used the store or not, but they are not unhappy for you to nip into town and back if you have other errands
Fraud or unbelievably bad customer service: you decide. Last year I was forced to purchase a print centre card to make a copy. No, can't pay for just 1 copy, you have to buy a card- they only had cards with a minimum value of 5. Today I go in to make a copy and get out my card that has a couple of quid on it. Nope. They tell me that they no longer accept their old cards and are unable to refund my the money on my old card. I guess when you have an empty store because you over-charge for low quality products you have to resort to cheating people to stay in business. Why don't you laminate that Office Outlet Oxford
Staff are very helpful. It's great that the store has its own parking so you don't have far to carry heavy items.
Doesn't apply to Oxford, but I expect it does because if I want some copying done I have to buy a minimum price card at 5 to use the diy machine. I only want 2 worth leaving me with an unwanted credit of 3 to use sometime during the next two years, if I remember. The other catch is if you opt for the counter service the cost is 5p per copy more than the machine. If the machine can take a store card why not a debit card, so you pay for what you actually want. Rip off really, and an easy way to get extra revenue because a majority of users may only want a bit of quick copying, like me, rather than regular use. Very poor business practise.
This is now an Office Outlet (formerly a Staples). Not having access at the moment to a printer, I went in to get a print. Single B&W A4 was quoted at 0.17 each. However upon presenting my USB memory stick I was told that for using a memory stick there was a 3.00 "media charge". Suffice to say the transaction was stillborn, they received a piece of my mind into the bargain. RIP OFF MERCHANTS... BEWARE️
Brilliant support and patience on the part of all the staff when I brought in a printer bought some years back. I was astonished at the lengths they went to to sort it out for me.
