This metrolink station at freehold takes trams to Manchester in one direction and Rochdale in the other direction. There is a lift on both sides of the road to access the Rochdale or Manchester bound platforms. I'm not entirely sure whether the lifts are actually working because as I walked close by them they were making some sort of warning noise which might have meant nothing but you never know. Alternatively you can use steps to access both platforms. There is a bicycle rack and a set of bicycle lockers and both of these are located on the Rochdale side of the platform. There is disabled parking and that is located on the the Manchester bound platform side. This same area is also used as a drop off point for passengers. There are plenty of closed-circuit television cameras around here. I have only given this a three star rating quite simply because of the lifts which I don't believe we're working but I wasn't prepared to try them out and prove the point.

There's most interesting fact about living in this area and getting tram from Freehold is zero. I was living in Chadderton area for two years even though the subject have nothing to do relevant between living in that area and getting tram from Freehold. I'll tell you now it's not recommend for vulnerable people and people with Asperger living in that area including Lansdowne Court e.g. I'd discovered this area is higest crime rate ever because there are people with mental health and people who commit crime on the trams between Freehold and Chadderton, smoking cigarettes on trams in my past and breaking in those Metrolink machines, yes what clever way to steal money for free, only accept you've forgot one thing there were prison sentence that your life will be wasted away. Anti Social Behaviour is biggest concern for those who are women and got special needs, men in that area never leaves women alone. Men, however, being little inappropriate making comments talking to them about their private part, whistling at them on the street or go psycho because they don't like being told to keep their music down by their next door neighbour. I wouldn't be gauranteed to keep your hope up from social housing 'Great Places' to deals with Anti Social Behaviour because they know what goes on your neighbour's life with the cannabis and so on and they know it's completely illegal to smoke cannabis in the social housing but won't do anything about it. And another thing I wouldn't recommend people with Asperger to live in this area because there are constanly fireworks goes on between 11pm and 2AM. Sometime they will set them off during day and carry on, they don't reconsider for those who suffer aniexty disorder or Asperger.
