In 2011 it was proud to take part the First Opera Conducting Course in Wales and Can You Sing Opera course directed by Patricia O’Neill and the international conductor Emmanuel Siffert. It is proud to have Emmanuel Siffert as it's principal guest conductor. Performances to audiences in Wales are a priority, particularly to those who have little or no other access to live orchestral music, planning to play prominent role in the community through workshops & coaching classes. ODEC seeks to develop the talents of young Welsh singers and composers.
