I'm working on my own family tree and have discovered that my great grandfather was a priest in this church when it belonged to the Catholic Apostolic Church. I'm not sure but I think he may have been in its building. Looked at the photos, seems to have a lovely atmosphere and excellent cakes!

The most friendly parish that I've been to! I was welcomed and introduced to Orthodoxy by the wonderful people there. The services were all in English (with a little slavonic and lords prayer in at least 4 languages) Fr Kyril is a brilliant priest with lots of experience and knowledge. The church is such an mixture of nationalities with no one majority (British, Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Middle Eastern, Greek, Sri Lankan, Serbian, Polish, Brazilian and others) so I felt comfortable and it is without ethnocentrism. The liturgy is in a more Russian rather than Greek style but it is under the Greek Archdiocese and feasts are celebrated on both the new and old calendars. The choir which is lead by Tony is wonderful and gives a great atmosphere for prayer. We always stay for tea/coffee and something to eat, usually snacks or light food. The liturgy is at 10:30am on Sunday for about 1.5hrs, but the Parish owns the building so vespers and liturgies can take place throughout the week. It is quite a small parish with a small number of dedicated members but quite a few people pop in and out and there are many people on feast days!
