I needed some unusually small panes of 4mm toughened safety glass for a special leaded light. I tried 3 other suppliers, including those with their own toughening plants, and was told the pieces were too small to be processed. Osborn Glass near Croydon, South London were able to identify a supplier, and arrange production and supply of this glass very promptly. Very pleased.

I had this company carry out glazing replacement for a rental property. The price was competitive, sales process not pressure driven. They unfortunately got measurements for a major window (3m * 2.1m) wrong and the fitters proceeded to fit the windows and the company submitted an invoice as it nothing was wrong. It was only when I made a trip to check the glazing and flagged the problem that they admitted to it and offered me a discount to accept the faulty installation. I refused and they have now replaced the windows. It was clear from my communication that the company knew of their mistake and I find it quite disappointing that they would try and palm it off without wanting to get it right. On speaking to the installers on site at the time of the second installation, they confirmed that they had reported the problem to the office but were asked to go ahead nevertheless. I wonder how many less than acceptable installations get passed off as acceptable making all of their claimed certifications come into question. To make matters worse, I was sent a link from another website that carries their glowing reviews. I wrote the same review as here and that review has not been published, again bringing into question the authenticity of all of the reviews. Deal with the company with your eyes open.

I have used Osborn on 4 different occasions for bespoke windows. They offer excellent value for money, a great wood effect look, sound insulation and design know-how. They have installed sashes, french casement and modern tilt opening windows for me. I have had an excellent customer experience with them from start to finish each time. Kosta, their installation guy, is an accomplished and meticulous craftsman, and I have found Tim, Danny and Joann to be responsive to any queries and feedback I have given. They were recommended to me by a Chartered Building Surveyor who had knowledge of their work on many of his projects with architects.
