Having travelled across the isles of Skye, Lewes and Harris, we found that the campsites were happy for us to use their facilities and provided an honesty box. We assumed that the same would be here, however whilst I was checking if the toilets at this site were open or not the owner approached shouting very aggressively at me. I apologised and tried to explain that we weren’t aware that we could not use the facilities but he continued shouting then demanded we give him 100 for using his CPD point. A real shame as every other place we have visited on the islands we have found the locals to be very friendly and helpful, this man was not and I would warn others from using his facilities. I would also suggest that the owner close the gates to the facilities if he does not want them to be used.

A bit dated facilities but spotless clean. Drinking water is not available in the kitchen and the kitchen doesn't really have anything else but the sink and washer/dryer which looked old and I am not sure if they even worked. There is no shelter from the wind and being so close to the sea the wind is strong. The site potentially more suitable for camper vans or caravans. The owners were helpful and very friendly. The shower and kitchen cannot be used after 10 pm.
5 of us stayed on this site and found it very welcoming, the people running it couldn't do enough for us and were really friendly. The toilet block was spotlessly clean as were the showers, the only down point was the torrential rain but lucky it was at night, not a fault of the people running the site. We missed the management when we left and when we got home there was an email apologising for missing us which I thought was a nice touch. We will definitely be back
Friendly reception. Near coast but seaviews obscured by sand dunes. Easy access to local hotel/ public bar and also indoor swimming at nearby school. Facilities clean if a bit dated but good value.
