Lovely place for a walk, wrap up warm it can get windy

Really nice walk. We went around both reservoirs. Limited disabled parking actually around the outside. Big car park for everyone. We didn't pay for parking as the machine was out but it was only 2 for the whole day. Toilets on site near the car park and on the far side too. We went on a grey rainy day so it was reasonably quiet, few groups of children at sailing club. Lots of nature to spot birds etc and a few fish. The cafe was serving from a small hatch. I think having a face lift inside (?)

Farmoor's a very attractive reservoir & trout fishery- set beside Cumnor, in idyllic rural Oxfordshire. Grebes & coots abound, while raft-loads of cormorants hang out their wings to dry. Even in late October, sailing boaters, wind-surfers, paddle-boarders, anglers, walkers & bird-watchers are well rewarded...come rain or shine. The site's cafeteria, bird hides, access to a variety of Thames-side walkways and provision of emergency equipment & multiple toilet facilities- they're all evidence of a very well provisioned & maintained community resource. Cost? Just 2 (by card) for all day parking. Highly recommended for visitors of all ages. In Spring & Summer, a Farmoor visit would deserve a 5th star, I'm sure.
