It's always a great time at Sandy's. Been here plenty and without a doubt it's the best atmosphere in Oxford. The drinks are fantastic too, they have some twists on classics and really great original cocktails. Only down side is how overpriced they are. 9/10 for a cocktail is way too much so it's hard to drink happily but just think the drinks money contributes to the great pianists & atmosphere of the place so can't complain too much.

Awesome atmosphere, went back in 2019 on a week night, so it was quite and there were only a few other people there. Perfect spot to sit, drink good wine, listen to music, and chat! The wine selection was great, bar tender knowledgeable, music amazing!
Lovely little bar hosting quality live music. Excellent selection of wine and cocktails. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the clientele is a great mix of students, residents and visitors to the city.
I do really enjoy this place. The live music is a lot of fun and there is always a good atmosphere from the people who go and from the musicians. The venue has two forks with a bar and seating upstairs and a second bar, more seating, a small dance area and the piano downstairs. For me (and probably anyone else you would ask) the best possible improvement the place could make is some AC downstairs. It is very humid and you can really feel it as you go down the stairs. The walls are often wet to touch. It is not a cheap place and often reasonably busy so perhaps some if that money could be used to make it more pleasant. Then it would be 5 stars for me :)

Nice local dive with live piano music. Feels a bit like a big group karaoke with everyone singing Christmas songs. Can be quite loud and crowded though. Suggest to get a table on the ground floor if you intend for audible conservative with your guests
