Jason and his team did a great job designing my renovation, coming up with some excellent ideas to bring my 1960’s house into the 21st century. Removing the hallway ceiling and opening up to the landing was one of many fantastic ideas.
After meeting 3 or 4 different architects my wife and I decided to look further afield and called up a couple based in Manchester. 2 minutes into my first initial telephone conversation with Jason (6pm on a Friday night by the way) I knew we found the right people to design our two storey extension. Jason was direct and talked a lot of sense whilst also giving us a clear vision for our dream home and the process during the planning stage. These attributes are highly important as you want architects to be tough, firm and fight your corner if your local council challenges your designs. It was also reassuring to know that our plans would have no problems getting planning permission as long as we listened to the advice of P4B prior to submission. We had our initial 2 hour consultation with Jason and then received 9 different drawing proposals for hour house. We picked the best things from 4 of the drawings and they came back with one new design which we loved. The whole process from first telephone call to submission of plans took about 2 and a half weeks (please note that over a week of that time was during Christmas and New Year) which was seriously impressive. The whole team at P4B, in particular Michelle, Brad and Mo always returned my calls and made any additional amendments to drawings with no hassle at all as we added things on we initially didn't think about. I couldn't recommend these guys enough and glad I went with my instincts.
We approached Jason following a recommendation from a friend who works in planning. We’d already met a few different architects that didn’t seem to share our vision or passion for the extension we had planned. Our project was a complex one and Jason took his time to listen to what we really wanted. The initial consultation cost 300, which was worth every penny. Jason spent well over two hours at our property looking at the different levels and took time to understand our requirements by listening to all the things we wanted. We met up a few weeks later and Jason had designed several different options for us and we were blown away with the designs - just little touches that we wouldn’t think of gave our design the wow factor we were looking for. If you are looking for an architect who is honest, open and full of amazing ideas, I cannot recommend P4B enough.
P4B provided an excellent project appraisal and then guided us through the process of extending our house to add in a much needed new shower room. Their advice helped us make the most of the space and they introduced us to a very good builder who completed the project
