Lovely pub in a lovely location. The services are swift and very friendly. I had mussels last week, loved the food and location so much, we went again for lunch today. The chicken terrine is flavoursome and my husband's oven baked salmon is fresh and tasty, the NY cheesecake is moreish. We will go back for more!

Wow. Great old place. Well appointed. Excellent well prepared food. Reasonably easy access. Front of house can't do enough for you. Thank you for helping to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Superb!

Thank you so much to the lovely people that run this place. I have only eaten inside one other time since Feb due to COVID worries. The other time was awful! Here was fantastic. Plenty of space, and staff striking the all important balance between safety and extending a friendly welcome. All this alongside the normal fantastic food and wine list. They made my Dads 86th birthday a good time for all of us. Thanks Church House, and see you again soon.
I went here with a good friend to celebrate some good news, the decor is traditional with local artists work displayed and for sale which I think is great. The staff were very helpful, friendly and didn’t rush us. parking was a bit tricky because it was so full, next time we might go in one car. The food was amazing, although you would expect it to be at the prices they were. Just to clarify, the food and prices were in line with each other, but for me, this is definitely a treat place to go when I’m feeling flush would definitely recommend.

Very nice pub in a beautiful location. Food was excellent quality with nice "home made" versions of the kids meals too. Well set up for dealing with social distanced dining.
