I used to go here regularly as a kid and it was great fun but if Im honest the majority of the time it was under the cover of darkness when the park had closed and the water had been turned off. We used to bring our skateboards and attempt to stay on them until the bottom of the flumes. I never remember anyone achieving this nor did anyone have the balls to attempt the death slide. Good days gone by.. I'm sure the security is nowhere near as lax these days. This was over 27 years ago before the invention of close circuit television and Internet gaming.. When kids could be kids.

This place is up there with the likes of Blizzard Beach in Florida... Devil Drop is just as scary... and the views of the coastline are better here than if the freeway... This place even has a steam train running alongside and offers free wetsuits. For 5 star you need to install hairdryers for the ladies...

We had a great time at the waterpark, my 7 year old grandson loved it. Queues were not to long, went on lots of slides in the 2 hours we were there, the only thing I wasn't impressed with was the young staff, they were all very polite, but more interested in chatting, it was like they were there for a social, if a child got into difficulties in the water I don't think they would notice as there were not really interested in the job they are there to do, I only saw one girl spray the rings once in the 20 minutes I was stood there at the bottom of the flume waiting for my grandson, and when I went up the flumes I had to interrupt 2 attendents chatting to ask if it was OK to go down. Apart from that we loved it.

Not bad had fun temp was 19c 17mph wind and 24-29 mph gusts obviously it was a little nippy but the water is heated. waiting for the water slides was cold and I know you have to line up at every water park but I felt it could have had a bigger pool for swimming for those not wanting to go on slides all the time hence 4 stars and I did not have a wet suit but managed the full three hours.

We went on the hottest day of the year and the place wasn't over crowded. Reasonably priced for a day out. Flumes and slides were great fun and kids loved them all! Maybe need a new system for the rubber rings queue. Staff very polite and helpful.
