I had decided to go to this store after seeing how welcoming it was in Edgware, I have to say I was quite disappointed. Now, it’s well stocked but I had asked help to find a product and the staff didn’t want to help me. I was greatly disappointed but it’s still a good shop. I probably won’t be shopping in panacea anymore, will definitely pop more in Holland and Barrett.

Wonderful shop, with everything you'd hope for from a health food store (Holland and Barrett take note). They also appear to have parted with the rude lady, who by the way sounded more Eastern European to me than French. There's now a really nice, helpful guy working there. When I complained to them about the lady last year they were very apologetic and went out of their way to explain things and make up for it, so good customer service too.
I like this shop since I can find things in a wider range than Holland& Barratt. But I think they have a really big problem with staff. Most of the staff is unfriendly, with never smiling face, and makes you feel under pressure while looking at the products. They make me feel like I have to buy or leave. There is only one lady, who has blue eyes I guess, is friendly helping and smiling. There is also a new girl, who never smiles, started working, another who never smiles joined the team. You may ask why smiling is this important, but I must tell smiling faces definitely effects customers’ attitude and choices for shopping. I quite often go this shop because of the products but every time I feel uncomfortable because of the unnecessary negativity of the staff. Most of the staff look like working unwillingly. I wish the management sort this problem because let me tell you guys, nobody likes unhappy faces no matter what they sell.
Brilliant range of health products, including free-from snacks, dried ingredients, natural vitamin and mineral supplements, plant based remedies, cruelty free cosmetics, natural shampoos and toothpastes, vegan fresh foods... So many things! Like a Holland & Barrett store on vegan steroids. Best shop I've come across in the wider North West London area for Vegan supplies. Helpful, knowledgeable staff and they offer the Vegan Society discount as well.
Fantastic ladies working there with good help and advice .lm a regular costumer there and always have great adivce and products, vitamins are the best there. Highly recommended!!!!!
Panacea is a great healthshop chain normally but the Watford shop lets the chain down. I frequent the shop a lot and recently its gone down hill. The first problem is stock, they are constantly running out of stock of normal things like dried fruit, nuts, burgers and snacks, they just don't get replaced. The other problem is staff. There are 3 ladies that work their, all from France and 2 of them are great to speak too, they are informative, helpful and always happy, the taller lady with the nose piercing is not, she is moody and grumpy, you cannot have a conversation with her, I have never even seen her smile ever. Also the shop smells bad on the days she is working, I could never work out why until last week she openly passed wind twice in front of me. Now I understand this is a normal human body function but there is also etiquette in front of customers and while running a shop floor. I think the management need to sort this shop out, stop employing friends, start stocking things when they run out and sort out the moody staff. Such a shame as this shop really has great things to offer (when they can be bothered to keep stock), all the other branches manage to maintain stock levels fine.
They sell products made from shark fins - cartilage. Don't shop here. Holland and Barrett delisted this item some time back. Protect wildlife.
Really great shop! Normally shop at Holland and Barrett but Panacea has a much wider range of products and is a lot cheaper! Things I couldn't find at H&B (chickpea flour, raw chocolate, cacao nibs, xanthan gum, maca powder) I found here. Definitely recommend.
