Collected my car today from this dealership and was delighted with the excellent service from Stephen Pioli from start to finish . He made the whole experience seem so natural under the restrictions in place with Covid from sending videos to see car and explaining explicitly how the process would work . A lesson on how not to sell a car. Cars seemed priced competitively, but it’s only when you start digging you find the reason for the seemingly bargain price, the cars are on the rough end of the scale, missing parts,, tyre wear at 3mm won’t get changed, missing keys and incomplete service history. With regards to actually dealing with Parks Renault Ayr ,Without a doubt the most unprofessional, rude and bafflingly argumentative dealer I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I thought parks was part of a large professional group but the staff at Renault Ayr come across as some rough back street Garage. Simple questions like does the vehicle have two keys is met with the reply why do you need two keys and baffling logic presented by a rude patronising manner. The incompetent finance manager should be sent on a very basic customer care course and Learn the meaning of customer care, it’s almost like having to actually talk to someone on the phone isn’t part of his job description and it’s just a major hassle for him. The general sales manager emails are something to behold, not sure if the illiteracy is deliberate to try avoid answering straightforward questions or if he just finds it difficult to put a coherent sentence together. Again this person doesn’t have a clue how to talk to customers, He was rude , patronising and argumentative. I quite clearly didn’t buy the car from this dealership, they did take 100 from me to hold the car, they did push for this on day one and was meant to reserve the car, but it still remained for sale on their website for many days after they took my deposit. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone, I asked them to donate my 100 to charity to be told they are keeping it for themselves, this tells you the type of people they are, keeping money that doesn’t belong to them think that’s called Stealing. I bought a far better car and had a much more professional experience at Arnold Clark in Dumfries.
