We nipped up for lunch today and really enjoyed the open sandwiches and macaroni cheese, I especially appreciated the gluten free option. At the moment they are offering 50% off and this made it particularly good value. Great service, pleasant surroundings and a basic menu cooked well: a nice treat to break up working from home.

Nice restaurant just off the main Street in Penicuik. Clean and tidy interior. Generous portions and good quality food. Worth a visit.
Super proud of a new local business rising to the challenge. 3 of us for a three course meal, clean plates all round, well there would have been had our stomachs not run out room. Was really nervous about getting back out there, but the place is immaculate and I felt safe. The team member looking after our table made the experience. He was helpful, attentive and polite. Keep up the good work, looking forward to coming back.
Absolutely fantastic place. We ordered a couple of mains (Fish & Chips and Burger) and they were excellent. The interior was lovely and very clean, and the staff were professional and friendly. Honestly nothing I could fault, wish there was a 6th star to give!
Very disappointed with this one. It took 20 minutes to receive our drinks and there where only 3 of us. It wasn't busy either. 45 minutes for the food to arrive. My husband ordered his steak medium rare but got it well done. My chicken burger was fine but you can not charge 6.50 for a child's meal when you can't cook a sausage. They where burnt at one end and just cooked at the other. One also had a chunk out of it presumably where it had stuck to the pan? Chef had obviously noticed as he had arranged them to try and hide it. This was fathers day too so extra disappointing. The only positive was that the waiting staff are nice. Avoid.
