I thoroughly enjoy visiting Penkridge market, it's like I feel a proper market should be. Real people, banter so much better than sterile supermarkets and great value to. Normally I loathe shopping but if the wife mentions Penkridge I am there.

Nice Military market undercover mostly with free parking, a cafe that has reasonable prices. There are toilets which are clean to a degree but don't expect the Ritz. A lot of items on sale something for the collector or reenactor.

Visited two years ago, vibrant, busy, bought loads . Visited two weeks ago during second lock down. Just a quarter of the stalls, covid safe, still purchased goods though.

It's been raining heavy today by the time i got down there they was packing up, the car park was flooded and it acutely looked like nice market place, i was soaked to the bone so i had a quick look around and decided to come back at a later date probably in the middle of December for Christmas shopping via train which is just around the corner from the market's and they have a café a meat wagon and toilet's
