Edit: I want to take the time to provide an update. My rating has been updated to reflect my post-rental experience. The manager of Europcar Penzance was impressively proactive in addressing my issue (detailed below) and took steps to ensure that I was refunded for this charge. Though there was a small administrative hiccup that meant that I only received the refund last week, everything worked out in the end. I look forward to doing business with Europcar in future. Watch out for this scam. We picked up our car without any issue. When we returned it a few days later, the lady noted that the rear \luggage cover\ was missing and charged us 11240 admin fee. There never was a luggage cover. She said it was our responsibility to notice that it was missing. We had never opened the boot and have a picture from 2 hours after we picked it up showing that it isn't there. Charged us anyway. Obviously going to dispute, but what a pain!

Rented a car there from Friday to Monday. Arrived on time at 8am. No car ready and waited until 9am to collect. Was given nothing to sign, no pressure work whatsoever and was told everything was fine. I asked about getting full insurance and was assured that wasn't needed in Penzance and not to worry. Arrived back at 8am on the Monday and waited for the place to open to be told to drop the keys in a drop of box at approximately 8.05. I have now been told I dropped the car back at 9.41and have been charged an extra day. Just straight up taking money out of my pocket. Thieves, steer clear.

Booked a car online only to be told half an hour before picking it up they didnt have any available. Guy said they had no availability for last 3 weeks yet when we rang office they said they did but 50 dearer than online so booked online. I guess they got the price they wanted and just jibbed us off Shocking way to do business. Read reviews before you book these cowboys
