The Perth Saints Football Club was founded in late 1997, with their first match in the 1998 season. The club was formed with a unique vision, and a goal to set themselves apart from the rest of the local sporting clubs. The majority of clubs were becoming too concerned with numbers and figures. However, the Saints wanted to create a special atmosphere within the club that made the players feel like they were part of a family - rather than simply contributing financially - where no-one is a stranger and everyone knows each other from the President down.
