We spent a lovely few hours here during the short space of time when Covid restrictions were relaxed, September 2020. Despite being unable to go inside the palace, the gardens, maze, little chapel and lovely cuppa (and scone) in the autumn sunshine, were fantastic. The peacocks wandering the grounds are beautiful and the highland cows didn’t disappoint either, coming to the fence for a good scratch!

As a person who is from Scottish back ground, I have to say that I have been blown away by the experience the sights of the place were awesome and amazing, truly a mind blowing experience. Well worth a prolonged visit by any tourist in the future.
Ancient seat of Scottish kings, with beautiful and varied giant trees in their woodlands. We couldn't go in the castle, but certainly weren't disappointed with what we could see. Moot hill, the ancient graveyard, replica Stone of Scone and church. Also the kitchen garden and pot fair.
Scone Palace has a maze, a chapel, wooden animals, and actual living animals, alongside the actual palace itself. There are plenty of peacocks here, showing off as they are wont to do, Highland cows that will make your Granny laugh, donkeys being donkeys, and Shetland ponies. I wasn't able to go inside during my visit, but as you might be able to tell from my review, I was more than happy watching the animals.
Stunning place to visit, as with all castles, steeped in amazing facts from it's long history. Pottery fayre was on the day we visited, lots of amazing products. Sadly restrictions still in place but great open space on a lovely autumn day. 7 entry per person seems quite expensive though.
