This is a great museum for adults. I had a thoroughly informing and enjoyable visit to the museum. The staff were lovely, the tour guide that takes tours you around the museum was kind, helpful, and informative if anyone in the group has a special interest he will tell the person about that as well; making the experience feel very unique to those visiting. There are a few things children to play with but its a reading museum rather than a pressing buttons Museum. It costs 8 for an adult but it's 15 for a ticket with the tour guide, wasn't sure if it was worth the extra but went for it, glad I got the tour. Chris (the tour guide) was funny and made history come alive with his stories. A child's ticket is 3.50 based on the 8-year-old in my life he would have lost it in there! There is a play park a couple of hundred meters out the back (clearly seen from the garden at the back of the Black Watch Museum) that would have kept him happy if parents want to take it in turns and visit the museum. A good museum it's well worth the tour. I don't know about the restaurant as I didn't go but it was well used today with lots of people. The gift shop has some lovely gifts at prices that didn't make it feel like a tourist trap. Thanks, a very happy customer.

Good museum and friendly staff in the shop and museum. The staff in the restruant/cafe were a little less friendly but it wasn't awful. The food in the eatery was nice and was bought to the table promptly. We spent a couple of hours in the museum which was nice, I don't personally feel the museum is very well suited to children. Lots of black watch history and amazing historical things to take in. Worth the money and time. Nice little shop at the end. The car park is free and has disabled parking.

Went out for a walk in the sun, albeit very cold. Came to Black Watch castle and found the cafe open for takeaway with outdoor seating. Fantastic sunspot with lovely coffee and scrumptious traybakes

The building looks small on the outside but on the inside there is a ton of relics from hundreds of years ago and enough history and stuff to read to last hours. I highly recommend it if you love any sort of military history, especially if you're interested in the black watch obviously.

I had a baked potato and unfortunately it wasn't so good.It must have been there all day as it was dry and they must have had a cheese shortage! However, my wife had a panini and it was excellent. We had a table in the new annex and it was really too small for lunch. Staff always very polite and friendly though.

Different galleries each depicting history about the Black Watch. Lovely interactive features as well (dress like a soldier and take a photo, activies for children and short movie clips) which make the visit that much more enjoyable. Beautiful gardens outside and also a lovely gift shop!

Was give a present for a breakfast and guided tour of this historic military tribute to the Black Watch. On entering the front door we were warmly greeted BY JIM. After being lead to our reserved table, the lovely lady told us our preorded breakfast was been prepared. Breakfast and cuppa was totally hot fresh and enjoyable. Thanks to the cook. After all wee top up of drinks, we were taken and introduced to Jim. Our tour guide. The tour was one of the best I have ever had. From the beginning to the end we had a fantastic insight to the Black Watch, Jim's knowledge was outstanding and given in a variety of different languages. The speed of the tour was perfect and totally informative and amazing. War is not a subject that suits all. But Jim's understanding of this subject and sense humanity was very much appreciated. This is a place that holds many stories and will take a few visits to complete to understand the importance and respect to all who have fallen. We left this place with a better understanding and sence of pride to those who gave their lives. Thank you all for the the dedication and time to allow us the name Black Watch.

Lovely cafe and shop. Social distancing measures are excellent and fantastic Black Watch Castle perspex screens! Oh, and the haggis roll was just great...
