After much research and prevarication, basically driven by fear, over having anything at all done to remove severe degradation of my eyesight over many years, caused by the onset of cataracts in both eyes, I found Mr. Pieter Gouws at the Spire Hospital. It became immediately clear to me that his qualifications and experience meant that I would have no concerns about competency or experience. What I didn’t know until my first consultation with him was that he would have the ability, through his thorough explanation of the procedures and the potential outcome, to instil me with the confidence to want to proceed with the removal of my cataracts as soon as possible. I am enormously grateful to Mr. Gouws for the amazing difference in my eyesight and for answering all my questions and removing all my concerns. I have now had both cataracts removed and can say that not only did everything go as described but my vision is almost completely restored to the way it used to be and I am absolutely delighted with the results.
