The studios are difficult to get to via public transport, so I recommend driving if possible! It all seems a bit eerie on the outside, but the inside is quite nice and trendy. The main communal area has a sink, vending machine and some benches. I used the dance studio, which has a great heating, air conditioning and lighting functions. However, on my second visit to this studio, I could NOT get the speakers to work for a good half an hour. After thinking I could fix it myself, I called the helpline on a Sunday. Bless them! The power was on, all the plugs in the right place, but the speakers did not want to play out the music on my laptop. After getting the code to the spare rooms, I managed to get an aux cable. But that didn't fit anywhere! I am unaware whether an aux cable is supposed to come with the studio, or you bring your own. But I did try the bluetooth setting on the media player, moving the volume up and down, turning things off and on. Eventually... I managed to get the speakers to work in the end! Overall a good space to dance in. Rectangular size, with a long mirror. The ballet barre is very rickety however, very unstable and needs replacing ASAP! The floor could do with a good clean with coca cola, that's an old theatre trick. It makes the floor far less slippery! I love the long bench and coat pegs in the room, and it comes with disinfectant spray and paper which is handy in covid times!!!

Had a 3 hour session booked and was very pleased to see the room extremely tidy alongside extra cleaning equipment to steralize the mics and everything else! Great energies inside with light options to change the vibe of the atmosphere Just a fire in the booth. I wanna give a big thank you to Fred at Pirates studios for sorting me out proper with his assistance and answering my enquiries on the day. He was fast to reply and sort out some questions I had including additional equipment which is not usually available for the room and was very generous with his support in the aftercare Will definitely be returning here again for the great energies and characters present, it was all very exciting Until next time Pirate Studios -KingKrone777
Honestly love this place, filmed my first podcast and the studio was clean, quality equipment and a nice chill vibe. All you have to do is literally just plug in and record. Great!! plus the customer Service was great i spoke to Polly who was great help!
Very clean, professionally built & superb sound quality. Simply plug your laptop via 1x USB and you have access to amazing quality sound and recording.
room 4 for DJing the mixer is faulty and the mic dont work so is room 5 the mixer is also faulty so try to avoid booking them 2 rooms
Idea - amazing Execution- awful There is always a problem with the equipment in some way. Most of the time you just accept it as their customer service team are particularly horrendous. I have been shouted at and hung up on. Have been told nothing can be done, including replacement slots or refunds when their equipment hasn't been working and i just cannot be bothered anymore. Serious artists or casual DJs heed my advice and avoid these venues. I have been using these studios since the only had 1 in London. It is quite sad really. There are alternatives that treat you with respect, I'll go there and I suggest you do the same.
Very good place to record and helpful staff
Newly Opened, Pirate Studios in Wembley is now the closest one for me! Having used the facilities in Notting Hill, it was a simple transition. Pirate studios is groundbreaking for myself as a headphone/laptop producer- (mainly because I dont have the space for a setup) it allows me to conduct productive sessions and also network with other visitors. The rooms are a great size with an excellent ambience to set the tone for any session. Now, if only Pirate Studios wouldn't mind sponsoring me! Lol.
